"Innovation Idea Day" competition and Knowledge Forum (Minsk, Belarus) are organized with the participation of representatives from Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, as a continuation of World Bank's global programme "Ideas for Development Marketplace".

Its goal is to support innovative projects focused on improvement of communities' life quality. More than 620 applications are submitted; among them there is the concept "E-Learning: Overcoming Educational and Social Isolation of People with Special Needs" developed by the student of Lviv secondary school #4 Marichka Katernyak under the supervision of Viktoriya Loboda, methodologist of the Ukrainian Distance Learning System (UDL System), and Yurij Gamota, Project Advisor, President of Science and Technology Management Associates, Academician of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. Our project reaches the final among 10 best projects from Ukraine, and it wins public sympathy in the Forum in Minsk but, unfortunately, gets no financial support: the jury doubts technical feasibility of the project.
